Life Must Go On...

Life Must Go On...
Mr. Arthur R. Lesaca
Lecturer, Institute of Computer Studies

I had thought my life was complete when I taught in this school,
Till all of you walked into my world taking a seat.
I had no idea the way things would go.
I just knew that I should teach and care for my students.

Every meeting was a whole new beginning for me,
The world was really spinning.
For each day I started to share my knowledge without even a care.

All of you taught me how to open my heart.
Without you my students, there would not been a start of loving, listening, and giving my all putting the past behind me, letting it fall.

I know I can’t hold of your lives.
And all of you must go on.
Leaving memories in my heart and mind,
Life must go on…

As I also move on,
I know that time will erase the pain.
And I know someday, I will see what I gained by opening up my heart to all of you.

Tomorrow, I’m starting my life anew as a teacher.
I’m not the shell of a person I used to be.
I will look at life now differently.
I know how it feels to love and be loved by students,
And I thank God above for allowing me a chance to start anew.
And I know all of you will be happy for me too.

As we move forward in our lives, always looking for our high tide.
Even though things sometimes didn’t work out,
I can move on with little doubt that I gave you all I had to give.

But now I guess it’s my turn to live.
So as you leave me, with a tear in my eye,
I love you all so much I thought I would die.
But God has much bigger plans for all of us.
And I know in teaching, again I’ll be.

Thanks to all of you,
I know how wonderful it feels to give and receive,
And work to build a loving relationship,
Which should be shared without even a care.

I will never forget this class.
Maybe someday our paths will cross again.
I hope the good memories will never fade.
But time to close this chapter, start a new page.

And each time you see the moon above,
Hope you are reminded of my teachings and love.

Congratulations to all of you! God Bless Us!
